More than ever, the efficacy of plant protection products is the key to success, not only on the market but also in registration and re-registration processes. Dose justification, comparative risk assessment and the development of appropriate resistance management strategies are just three of several aspects of efficacy that have become of increased strategic importance.

As key interface for the work of the SCC Regulatory Service in Agrochemicals and Biopesticides, as well as the Regulatory Science Department, the special expertise of the efficacy group is:

• Detailed planning of study programs covering all EU zones with reliable international CROs
• Comprehensive study monitoring, according to relevant guidelines, e.g. EPPO, CEB and CRD
• Precise data analysis using up-to-date data management, analysis and statistic software (e.g. ARM or customer-based data processing)
• Dossier generation (dRR, zonal biological assessment dossier, etc.)
• Mutual recognition dossiers, comparability proof statements
• Defense of submissions on EU and/or national level, including follow-up
• Resistance analysis and development of resistance management strategies
• Intensive contacts with national authorities and scientists, either directly or via a network of local consultants

To meet these requirements, our interdisciplinary staff consists of experts - growers as well as scientists, from various fields of work: agricultural sciences, biology, meteorology, agriculture, farmers and growers, advisory services, etc.
