We are also very pleased to present a guest contribution about the European Union Minor Uses Coordination Facility written by Mr. Jeroen Meeussen (co-ordinator). Important progress has also been made regarding the future evaluation of plant protection products (PPP). EU Member States voted in favour of the recent proposal regarding criteria for identifying endocrine disruptors (ED) among PPPs. This issue also features a report on the latest BVL Applicants Conference in Braunschweig as well as other important news about agrochemicals/biostimulants, chemicals/REACH and regulatory science.

The draft Regulation for CE-marked fertilising products is part of the EU’s Circular Economy package to accomplish a more sustainable economy, and shall apply from 01 January 2018 onwards. CHANGES IN THE COURSE OF ACTION FOR REACH REGISTRATION FROM 2016 ONWARDS
The REACH Committee (under joint responsibility of DG ENV and DG Growth) gave a favorable opinion on the draft regulation for an "implementing act" on data sharing and costs incurred by data sharing under the REACH regulation at its recent meeting. When enter into force the provisions of this regulations will cause a significant higher workload for REACH registration in general and in particular for SIEF administration / negotiations.
